Meghan Quinn has been an author I’ve had on my TBR for a while now. Her books A Not So Meet Cute and So Not Meant To Be have been consistently on my BookTok feed for a long time now and I’ve had A Not So Meet Cute on my KindleUnlimited queue for longer than I care to admit.

Meghan Quinn got bumped into top priority because, in November, my friend Madi and I will be attending a signing event in Philly where Meghan Quinn will be! I’m so freakin excited and am going to attempt to read some more books by other authors who will be attending as well.

So even though two of her books were already in my queue, I ended up reading Royally Not Ready, meeting the wonderful FMC, Lilly, and falling in love with Keller.

From the first chapter, we already get slapped with some delicious tension. This book could very well be the definition of the Gumpy/Sunshine trope.

Keller, the MC, is tall, strong, serious, protective, and severe. (swoon) He takes his job so seriously and has had a troubled past, and his internal struggle and dialogue throughout this book will have you want to climb into the pages and give him a hug.

Lilly, our FMC, is a bubbly, outgoing, and filter-less woman who also has a troubled past and heartache from losing her parents and being left alone with no remaining family.

Keller is sent to deliver Lilly some life-altering news and they find themselves leaning on each other as they navigate this new phase of life.
