Quarantine day 537318374639. Or at least so it feels, right?? Have you ever seen that Disney Christmas cartoon with Huey, Duey and Louey where they wish it was Christmas everyday, it comes true and then they’re over it?
That’s how I’m feeling. But like, a perma Saturday.
Anyway, I read a post that claims not washing your face one night, ages your face 7 days, and that made me panic immediately because I’m the worst with skincare. (I read it online. I don’t know if it’s true)

So, I immediately took to Pinterest to find a DIY coffee scrub. My skin has been feeling really rough and dry, and I drink coffee every day, so I figured a coffee scrub was my best bet.

DISCLAIMER: I didn’t read the instructions properly, you’re supposed to dry out your grounds. It worked fine how it turned out, but I’d do it the right way next time.

So, I just dumped my used coffee grounds from that morning into a glass bowl. What you’re SUPPOSED to do is spread them on a baking sheet to dry out or place in the oven on a very low setting until dried. #knowbetterdobetter

First, I mixed in about 2 tablespoons of honey with the coffee grounds.

Second, mixed in 5-10 drops each of Young Living’s lavender essential oil, YL tea tree EO, YL patchouli EO

Last, 3-5 pumps of Fractioned coconut oil.

Okay. So the visual difference in the pictures is zero. BUT in real life and the feel of my skin, WOW. It’s amazing. I’m definitely going to try to do this monthly.
I’m thrilled with it. I don’t know if my husband is just a suck up or if he meant it, but he said my skin looks amazing lol
If you’ve got coffee grounds, honey, fractioned coconut oil and the best oils on the planet, what’re you waiting for?! Make this now! Your skin will thank you.
If you don’t have the ingredients, I’ll include links to all the stuff I used below……
Okay, so if you’re not a Young Living member, grab your Premium Starter Kit HERE ! There is lavender and frankincense in the PSK, which are skin loving maniacs! Add tea tree and patchouli to your order if you want to grab the exact ones I used. I’m out of frank, or I probably would’ve used frankincense over patchouli in my scrub.

This is my favorite fractioned coconut oil! It comes with a regular cap, a shampoo bottle style cap and a pump cap. The pump cap, in my opinion, is the easiest and most convenient to keep on the bottle.

I used one of my Pyrex bowls because they’re glass, have a great fitting lid and I just use them for anything and everything. I had a bunch left over so I threw the lid on and will use the rest in a couple weeks.
